Lao Ford City Joins Hands with Veterinarians Without Borders Korea to Drive the “Laos Rabies-Free Project”
In a heartfelt show of compassion and corporate responsibility, Lao Ford City partnered with Veterinarians Without Borders Korea to support the “Laos Rabies-Free Project”, held from 9th to 12th November 2025 in Vientiane.
As part of its ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Lao Ford City proudly provided three Ford Ranger vehicles namely Ranger Raptor 2.0L , Ranger 2.0L Wildtrak and Ranger 2.0L XLT to assist the veterinary team in their mission to vaccinate animals across rural and suburban communities in Vientiane.
Driving Change, One Community at a Time
Rabies remains one of the most dangerous zoonotic diseases in the region, affecting both humans and animals. Through this collaborative effort, the team was able to reach remote areas that were previously difficult to access, enabling the vaccination of over 250 animals ,a remarkable improvement compared to last year’s results.

Last year, the volunteers faced many challenges, relying on chartered buses and at times walking long distances into remote villages to reach local communities. The travel time and physical strain limited the number of animals they could help.

The vehicles provided allowed the veterinary volunteers to transport equipment, reach villages safely, and extend their campaign’s reach all while ensuring the work was done efficiently and on time.

The project was also carried out in close collaboration with the University of Laos, bringing together veterinary students, professors, and volunteers who share the same vision: to make Laos a rabies-free nation through education, prevention, and community engagement.
Mr. Steven Kong, General Manager of Lao Ford City, shared his appreciation for the partnership:
“We are deeply honored to be part of this meaningful project. As a company, we believe that our vehicles are more than just machines — they are tools of empowerment. Supporting the Laos Rabies-Free Project allows us to give back to the community, protect lives, and inspire positive change.”

Lao Ford City remains committed to supporting meaningful causes that strengthen communities and improve lives. This CSR initiative stands as a testament to the company’s dedication to sustainability, compassion, and the belief that every journey — big or small — can lead to positive change.
As the campaign concludes, Lao Ford City extends heartfelt thanks to Veterinarians Without Borders Korea and the University of Laos for their collaboration and unwavering effort in protecting both animals and people across the nation.
