Unibody Construction
The Transit Cargo Van and Passenger Wagon are built with lightweight yet strong unibody construction. Front, rear and side rails are welded with the floor pan, crossmembers and torque boxes to form a single body. Unibody construction, while lighter in weight than body-on-frame, yields tremendous strength and durability. It's built with high-strength steel as well as boron steel in select areas.
Passenger Wagon Seating
The Transit Passenger Wagon long-wheelbase model comes with high roof, provides standard 11-passenger seating. And there's the long-wheelbase dual-rear-wheel 11-passenger wagon with extended body and high roof, which comes with the industry's first five-row side-curtain airbag* and provides best-in-class** 100.5 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the last row.
