PHUKET, Thailand, May 10, 2022 – Ford Thailand welcomes media to the next-generation
Ford Ranger Ride and Drive Event to experience the smartest, most versatile and most capable Ranger ever. Available soon in dealerships, the next-gen Ranger features improved capability and comfort, advanced technologies, and smart connectivity that deliver new and improved experiences to pickup customers. The drive event takes place along Thailand’s southern coastal provinces of Phuket, Phangnga and Krabi. The event provides media with an excellent opportunity to put the next-gen Ranger’s new features to the test, both on- and off-road, and through activities simulating extreme usage that consumers would put their truck through for work, with family and at play.
The event opens with a product presentation by senior Ford designers and engineers, offering aunique insight into Ford’s customer-focused approach and new product features that media will later experience first-hand during the drive. These features include adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and lane centering, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and lane keeping system with road edge protection. Media have the opportunity to test drive the next-gen Ranger Wildtrak 4×4, Ranger Wildtrak 4×2 and Ranger Sport, which come with a choice of engines that provide customers with the best performance and capability.
Wildtrak 4×4: Equipped with Ford’s proven 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo paired with the 10-speed
Select Shift automatic transmission delivering 210 PS at 3,750 rpm and 500 Nm of torque
at 1,750-2,000 rpm
Wildtrak 4×2: Powered by a 2.0-litre diesel turbo and a 6-speed automatic transmission,
delivering 170 PS at 3,500 rpm and 405 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm
Ranger Sport: Paired with Ford’s Single Turbo diesel and 6-speed automatic making 170
PS at 3,500 rpm and 405 Nm of torque at 1,750-2,500 rpm.
